Industries are where most of the production work takes place and have large spaces with heavy machinery. For maximising the production outputs, to avoid accidents and for the overall growth of the industry following points should be considered :

•  Heavy equipments and machinery should be installed in south-west, south and west zones. Avoid keeping such machineries in the north, north-east and east zones.

•  Boilers, air-conditioners, generators, heaters, dryers, ovens, furnaces etc are best placed in south-east zone as this direction is dominated by the Element of Fire.

•  Toilets and heat generating equipments/installations should not be provided in north-eastern, central or northern zones.

•  Administrative offices can be located in the north or north-west zone of the factory premises.

•  Spare parts stores should not be in north-west and central zones.

•  Finished products are best placed in the north-west zone.

•  Changing rooms for labour, should ideally be located in north-west zone.

•  Having ample sunlight throughout the premises is beneficial.

•  Green-spaces and water bodies should be placed in the North-East area. Heavy-duty industries such as steel industries, cement industries etc. can be tiring and stressful for the employees. It is therefore essential to have open spaces, bright coloured rooms, sculptures etc. within the industry premises.
